Oak Strategies’ principals spent decades in local, county and state government leadership positions before coming together to form this boutique lobbying and advocacy consultancy in 2021. We’ve chaired numerous key committees in both the Florida House and Senate, giving us a unique understanding of how decisions are made and how persuasive influence and advocacy can be best used to affect the processes.

Oak Strategies has deep roots in Florida’s political process cultivated through meaningful relationships with key decision-makers in Tallahassee’s appropriations and policy worlds. All of our principals have been elected multiple times to either the House or Senate and all have served at our state government’s highest levels.

Rob Bradley served as chairman of the powerful Senate Committee on Appropriations from 2017-2020. Travis Cummings served as chairman of the House Committee on Appropriations from 2018-2020. In these roles, they each helped craft state budgets in excess of $90 billion. Jayer Williamson served six years in the Florida House of Representatives and served as chair of the Infrastructure & Tourism Appropriations Subcommittee.

After retiring from elected public life, Oak Strategies’ principals put their collective experiences to work in the private sector, launching Oak Strategies, LLC in 2021. As a boutique lobbying and advocacy consultancy, the firm provides services that help shape and achieve long-term visions for more than 40 clients and organizations across the state of Florida.
